"Reliquery For My Hair: Change Painting"
acrylic paint on ceramic, copper and silver
From birth to sixth grade I never cut my hair. It was always fashioned into a long brade. The brade along with my red rimed glasses were trademarks of my identity during most of my youth.
This is a small depiction of the long braid I had as a child being cut. It is representational of the transformational changes that take place from youth to adulthood.
